ข้อบ่งใช้ [Indication] :
1. Prevention of VTE: elective hip or knee replacement surgery.
Prevention of venous thromboembolism evenets (VTE) in adult patients who have undergone elective hip or knee replacement surgery.
2. Prevention of stroke and systemic embolism: non-valvular atrial fibrillation
Apixaban is indicated to reduce the risk of stroke, systemic embolism, and death in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation with one or more risk factors, including patients unsuitable for warfarin. Compared to warfarin, apixaban also results in less bleeding, including intracranial hemorrhage.
3. Treatment of VTE
Apixaban is indicated for:
- treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE)
- prevention of recurrent DVT and PE
